Photography 101

Last night I had my first photography clsss with Bob Topp. Remember all I have been doing with any camera is "point, shoot, cuss, delete and point again". This camera is too high-end to do this, so I am forcing myself to learn and to take advantage of all its capabilities. I learned about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, histogram, signal over noise and more. All of this was mixed with some chemistry, mathamatics and physics. After two hours, my brain was fried with all this new foreign information. At the moment, going back to "point, shoot, cuss, delete" doesn't sound too bad! I do look forward to learning my camera. I know that it will be a long road of trial and error before I take that "perfect picture", but it sure will be worth the wait!
