Lacking in the Talent Dept.

You know what amazes me and disgusts me at the same time? Actually there are two things . The first one are ladies who have babies and regain their figure and weigh less than they did before they were pregnant and look gorgeous. The second are creative and talented ladies who can poot out excellent layouts without any hesitation. Where do the ideas come from? How did they do this? that? And how? They are blessed with such great talent that should be either shared or outlawed! My brain doesn't think like these ladies. I believe the only talent I have in the scrapbooking department is journaling. I can fill a page up with words, thoughts, facts, stories and sometimes useless information that my brain needs to delete! My goal this next year is to pick these creative brains and figure out what their thought process is and incorporate it with what little talent I have. Maybe together my talent will grow! Does that make me a scrapbook parasite? I'm ok with that!

Frusrated

With my challenge to do 50 pages by Dec. 21 without buying any new scrapbooking items until then has really made me frustrated. The purpose of this is that we will be forced to use the items we have on hand so that we are not wasting any supplies. I was in Hobby Lobby last week with $60.00 worth (they had an awesome sale!) but I ditched it at the last minute because I would have broken the rules. After 38 pages, I am in a rut. My creativity is gone. My supplies are on empty. I need some "retail therapy" as Rachel and Amy would say. New goodies always sparks a new LO and creativity. Unfortunately Hobby Lobby only has a 30% sale and that is not worh my gas to drive there. Hopefully soon I will get out of this rut because I love my scrapbook closet and this is the first time I have shut the door so I wouldn't have to look at it! I have broken a scrapbook commandment! Does anyone know where a scrapbook outlet store is that is within a 200 mile radius of Huntsville? I know there is one in Pigeon Forge. Maybe we can do a roadtrip....

My closet, my space

I felt that I needed to add my own page for my favorite things. The Walker's Pad is our family page and it would be very selfish of me to take all that space for me! Those who know me know that I am working on not being selfish and giving more of myself to others. But I feel that since this is my closet and my space, I can be selfish all I want to. Right? If it belongs to me, then I do not have to share! Although, I am not being selfish if I share my closet and space with you!
