Lacking in the Talent Dept.

You know what amazes me and disgusts me at the same time? Actually there are two things . The first one are ladies who have babies and regain their figure and weigh less than they did before they were pregnant and look gorgeous. The second are creative and talented ladies who can poot out excellent layouts without any hesitation. Where do the ideas come from? How did they do this? that? And how? They are blessed with such great talent that should be either shared or outlawed! My brain doesn't think like these ladies. I believe the only talent I have in the scrapbooking department is journaling. I can fill a page up with words, thoughts, facts, stories and sometimes useless information that my brain needs to delete! My goal this next year is to pick these creative brains and figure out what their thought process is and incorporate it with what little talent I have. Maybe together my talent will grow! Does that make me a scrapbook parasite? I'm ok with that!

Oh please Trudy!!! Do not get down on yourself or compare yourself to others!! It pains me to hear you dog yourself like this!!:) Look at what you are accomplishing and you work full-time! Everyone(even experts) get in a rut so it looks like you(an expert scrapbooker) are in one of those famous ruts.

ps. yes I love that background!

Trudy! You beter recognize! Your pages are great! I'm loving every page you've shown me lately! I want to journal like you do. See I feel like my talent is a waste and isn't really "scrapbooking" because no real story was included. I always love the pages with a story more than a pretty page. That is why I've decided that my scrap don't stink and to no longer compare my pages or worry if I make the perfect page! If you had fun scrapping and you documented something about your life, that is what matters. So say it with me...My scrap don't stink, my scrap don't stink. Stop being dwon on yourself and just have fun!

It's natural not to recognize your own talent, I've done that, been there, got the tee shirt. You are doing a great job recording your family's life. Your journaling is great and life is more than a pretty picture. Gather ideas from your friends to inprove on your own talent and be happy(don't worry)
